The first hit, the diving catch, the long drives to tournaments with the whole family in the car. A softball photo collage is cut to a player tossing the ball in her hand, glove on, ready to play, and filled with every inning she ever played.

See how it works in Canva: watch the how-to video.

How many photos fit

Every figure comes from the layout engine rather than a rule of thumb. The suggested count is where each photo prints about two inches across, big enough to make out a face from across the room. The minimum is 9 photos; below that, parts of the outline can be left without a photo. The player is a tall figure, so a portrait print suits her best, and the button opens a 20 × 30″ print.

Print size

Photos

Suggested

12 × 12″

9–60

9

12 × 18″

9–100

15

16 × 20″

9–140

15

16 × 24″

9–170

25

20 × 20″

9–180

15

20 × 30″

9–275

40

24 × 24″

9–250

25

24 × 36″

9–375

55

30 × 40″

9–525

70

36 × 54″

9–875

130

40 × 60″

9–1075

160

Questions

Is the ball made of photos too?

No, and that’s on purpose.
