Border Collie photo collage, made from your own photos
The stare. The crouch before the frisbee leaves your hand. The ball dropped at your feet, again, and again, and again. The sheep, the ducks, the kids, all herded whether they liked it or not. A Border Collie photo collage is cut to a Border Collie standing alert, ears tipped, ruff full and tail low with a little upward hook, and filled with every run, jump and catch. Then, finally, the one quiet photo of them asleep.

How many photos fit
Every figure comes from the layout engine rather than a rule of thumb. The suggested count is where each photo prints about two inches across, big enough to make out a face from across the room. The minimum is 9 photos; below that, parts of the outline can be left without a photo. The Border Collie is a little wider than tall, yet the photos print largest on a square sheet, such as 20 × 20″ or 24 × 24″.

Questions
Does it work for a merle or tricolor?
Yes. Black and white, red merle, blue merle, tricolor, red and white, they all fit. The outline has no color; your photos carry every speckle and patch.
My dog's ears stand straight up. Will it still look like him?
The outline has the classic tipped ears, and the low tail with its little upward hook, because that's the shape most people know as a Border Collie. Ears vary a lot in this breed, from fully pricked to soft and folded. Once your photos go in, it reads as your dog, ears and all.
Can I use it as a memorial?
Yes. A Border Collie is never just a pet; they're a partner in everything. Filling their shape with all those runs and catches is a lovely way to remember them. Our pet memorial photo collages page has gentle ideas for when you're ready.
