Gymnast photo collage, made from your own photos
The cartwheels across the lawn, the first meet, the chalk on everything. The beam she was scared of until she wasn’t, the medals on the bedroom wall. A gymnast photo collage is cut to a gymnast in a high arabesque, one leg reaching for the ceiling, and filled with every practice and every meet.

How many photos fit
Every figure comes from the layout engine rather than a rule of thumb. The suggested count is where each photo prints about two inches across, big enough to make out a face from across the room. The minimum is 9 photos; below that, parts of the outline can be left without a photo. The arabesque fits a square best, so the button opens a 24 × 24″ print.
| Print size | Photos | Suggested |
|---|---|---|
| 12 × 12″ | 9–60 | 9 |
| 12 × 18″ | 9–100 | 9 |
| 16 × 20″ | 9–140 | 10 |
| 16 × 24″ | 9–170 | 10 |
| 20 × 20″ | 9–180 | 15 |
| 20 × 30″ | 9–275 | 20 |
| 24 × 24″ | 9–250 | 20 |
| 24 × 36″ | 9–375 | 30 |
| 30 × 40″ | 9–525 | 45 |
| 36 × 54″ | 9–875 | 70 |
| 40 × 60″ | 9–1075 | 80 |
Questions
Why so few photos at the small sizes?
A gymnast in an arabesque is all slim lines, which hold fewer photos than a solid shape. The bigger the print, the more photos fit, so a 30 × 40″ suggests 45 and a 40 × 60″ suggests 80.
Is it only for competitive gymnasts?
No. It suits a tumbling-class kid, a high school team member or a college athlete alike. Your photos tell the story.
