Maltese photo collage, made from your own photos
The tiny white puff that fit in one hand. The first bath, the bow that never stayed put, the soft click of little paws following you from room to room. A Maltese photo collage is cut to a Maltese in a fresh puppy cut, topknot bow on top and tail curled over the back, and filled with all those small, bright days. Hang it near her favorite nap spot and watch everyone stop to look.

How many photos fit
Every figure comes from the layout engine rather than a rule of thumb. The suggested count is where each photo prints about two inches across, big enough to make out a face from across the room. The minimum is 9 photos; below that, parts of the outline can be left without a photo. The Maltese is close to square, just a touch wider than tall, so a square print like 20 × 20″ or 24 × 24″ suits her best.

Questions
The outline is plain. Where does the white coat come in?
From your photos. The outline is only a shape, with no color of its own, so the snowy coat, the dark eyes and the little black nose all come through in the pictures you choose. A few bright close-ups near the middle make the whole thing glow.
Why a puppy cut and not the long show coat?
Because that's how most Maltese live day to day. The outline shows a short puppy cut with her legs showing, a bow on top and the tail curled over her back. The little gap inside the tail curl is filled in, so no blank spot prints. If yours wears the long, floor-sweeping coat, the photos inside will show it.
Can I use it as a memorial?
Yes, and many people do. Gather the photos you've found hard to scroll past, add her name and her years under the outline, and it becomes a quiet, happy place to remember her. Our pet memorial collages page has more gentle ideas.
What occasions is it good for?
- A birthday or gotcha day, every year since that first car ride home
- Christmas for the Maltese lover who already has the mug and the socks
- A memorial for a little dog with a very big heart
- The first year with a new puppy, from eight weeks to her first real haircut
- A thank-you for the groomer who has kept her looking perfect for years
Which photos should I put in it?
- The first night home, curled up inside a slipper
- Fresh from the groomer, bow and all
- Riding in a tote bag, a basket or the front of a bike
- Snuggled into a blanket on a rainy afternoon
- Tiny paws on a big lap, with Grandma or the kids
What can I write under the outline?
- Bella · 2013–2026
- Small dog, whole heart
- Our little cloud
- You were small, and you filled everything
- Every bow, every cuddle
