How many photos fit
Every figure comes from the layout engine rather than a rule of thumb. The suggested count is where each photo prints about two inches across, big enough to make out a face from across the room. The minimum is 9 photos, below which the outline starts to break up. The player is a tall figure, so a portrait print suits her best, and the button opens a 20 × 30″ print.

Questions
Is the ball made of photos too?
No, and that’s on purpose. The softball is a real photo of a ball, laid over the outline so it stands out against all your pictures. Everything else in the shape is your photos.
Does it work for a pitcher, a catcher or an outfielder?
Yes. The outline is a player tossing the ball, not a pitch or a swing, so it suits every position. Your photos show where she played and how she played it.
