How many photos fit
Every figure comes from the layout engine rather than a rule of thumb. The suggested count is where each photo prints about two inches across, big enough to make out a face from across the room. The minimum is 9 photos; below that, parts of the outline can be left without a photo. The player is a tall figure, so a portrait print suits him best, and the button opens a 20 × 30″ print.

Questions
Is the ball made of photos too?
No, and that’s on purpose. The basketball is a real photo of a ball, laid over the outline so it stands out against all your pictures. Everything else in the shape is your photos.
How is this different from your other basketball collages?
Our basketball photo collage is a player going up for a dunk, and the drive collage is a player dribbling hard to the hoop. This one is the layup: one hand reaching for the rim, the shot every player learns first. All of them are filled with your own photos.
