Jack Russell Terrier photo collage, made from your own photos
A blur at the back door. The tennis ball dropped at your feet for the four-hundredth time today. The fresh hole in the garden that nobody will own up to. A Jack Russell photo collage is cut to a terrier standing alert, button ears forward and tail straight up like a flag, and filled with every busy, muddy, wonderful day. Even hanging on the wall, it looks ready to go.

How many photos fit
Every figure comes from the layout engine rather than a rule of thumb. The suggested count is where each photo prints about two inches across, big enough to make out a face from across the room. The minimum is 9 photos; below that, parts of the outline can be left without a photo. A Jack Russell standing side-on is about a quarter wider than tall, so turn the print on its side: a landscape 16 × 20″ frames him nicely.

Questions
Will it suit a white-and-tan, tricolor or mostly white Jack?
Any of them. The outline has no color or markings, just the shape of a terrier on alert. The white coat, the tan ears and that patch over one eye all come from your photos, so it ends up looking like yours and nobody else's.
Mine is rough-coated. Will a smooth edge look right?
It will. The outline has a smooth, clean edge, which is how a Jack Russell reads best from across a room, whether the coat is smooth, rough or broken. The wiry eyebrows and the scruffy beard show up in the photos inside instead.
Can I use it as a memorial?
Yes. Jack Russells often share fifteen years or more with a family, so there is a lot to hold. Pick the photos that sound like him, add his name and years underneath, and let the busy, happy life fill the shape. There are more ideas on our pet memorial collages page.
What occasions is it good for?
- A birthday or gotcha day for the dog who has never once slowed down
- Christmas for the Jack Russell lover in the family
- A memorial for a huge spirit in a small body
- A new puppy's first wild year, chewed shoes included
- A barn hunt or earthdog title, for a terrier who finally got to do the job
Which photos should I put in it?
- Mid-air catches, ball or frisbee
- A dirt-covered face, proud after a big dig
- Riding shotgun with the window down, ears flying
- Fast asleep after a long day, the only still photos you own
- Perched on the back of the sofa, on window patrol
What can I write under the outline?
- Milo · 2011–2026
- Small dog, no off switch
- Chief squirrel officer
- Run free, little one
- Every ball, every walk, every adventure
What do I get?
A Canva template already cut to the Jack Russell outline, with every photo space placed, for $9.99. It stays in your account, so a better action shot next summer can replace an old one.
