Family photo collage: the word FAMILY, made of your own photos
Somewhere on your phone are the photos that tell your family's story: the wedding, the first wobbly steps, the birthday cakes, the beach trip where it rained, the grandparents holding the newest baby. A family photo collage gathers them into one word, FAMILY, with every letter filled with your own pictures and your family name written above it. It's the gift that ends up in the hallway where everyone passes it, and somebody always stops to look.

How many photos, and how big
Around 25 photos on a 30 × 20″ landscape print is where FAMILY looks its best, with each photo about two inches across: big enough to pick out every face. Want bigger photos? 35 on a 36 × 24″ print come out a little over two inches each. Want more of the story in it? 100 photos on the 30 × 20″ come out about an inch each, and a 60 × 40″ print holds up to 1,075. The word reads clearly from as few as 18 photos.

Questions
How many photos do I need for a family collage?
As few as 18, and the word still reads clearly. Around 25 on a 30 × 20″ print is the classic look, and 35 on a 36 × 24″ gives bigger photos, a little over two inches each. If you have hundreds, choose a larger print: a 60 × 40″ holds up to 1,075, with each photo smaller.
Can I use our surname or another word instead?
Yes. The same template spells any word you type: your surname, OHANA, HOME, LOVE, or the children's names. Type it in the designer and the letters are cut to fit.
How do I make it in time for Christmas?
Give yourself two weeks. Gathering the photos takes longest; filling the template takes an evening, and a local print shop can usually print it in a day or two.
